A Charleston native with deep Lowcountry roots, Ann Gadsden Shimer brings a wealth of experience, local knowledge, and entrepreneurial spirit to her real estate career. She earned her real estate license in 1999 and her broker license in 2004, and has been helping clients buy and sell homes across the Charleston area for over two decades. In addition to her real estate work, Ann owned and operated Consigning Women, a successful women’s consignment boutique, for 30 years. Her ability to build lasting relationships and her eye for design and presentation translated naturally into real estate, where she’s known for her attention to detail, sharp negotiating skills, and commitment to client satisfaction. After recently selling the boutique, Ann is now dedicating herself to real estate full time. Over the years, Ann has listed and sold properties throughout the Charleston region, including Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, Mount Pleasant, Downtown Charleston, and even as far as Yonges Island. Her extensive market knowledge and long-standing local connections make her a trusted advisor for both buyers and sellers.
Ann lives in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant with her husband, Ed, their dog Roger, and their cat Bear Bear. When she’s not working with clients, you’ll find her enjoying tennis, golf, fishing, boating, or planning her next travel adventure. Whether you’re relocating to the area or a longtime Charlestonian looking for your next move, Ann brings professionalism, integrity, and a true love of the Lowcountry to every transaction.
