Perhaps one of the best things about life in the Southeast is the abundance of local and fresh produce, along with fresh off the boat fish and handcrafted items. In one word, we are spoiled, but we’re here for it.

With so many local farms around, there are also plenty of options for a home delivery or pickup box. Choose from fresh veggies, meats, dairy, and other local goods. Join now to receive your bundle of produce grown with love in the low country.

CSAs

Here’s our roundup:

· Legare Farms: Now in its 17th year, Legare Farms’ CSA is unique because it is not a drop and go type CSA. Members get access to a basket of 6+ veggies for 15 weeks with an optional 6 week Winter Season January and February. Each basket includes produce that is ripe and ready to eat and an egg share is an optional add-on. They also have a strong belief in members being part of the farm fam and thus staff educates and builds relationships to foster getting to know your farm, farmer, and food.

· Vital Mission Farm: Pasture Raised Poultry. Regeneratively Raised. Wadmawlaw Island Offers a “Vital Box”. Each box includes 2 packages of duck prosciutto, one package of duck confit, one half gallon of both broth, 2 turkey wings, and 2 turkey legs and can be delivered for $114/ monthly.

· Community Supported Grocery: A grassroots local food delivery “on a mission to make our local food economy more equitable, convenient, and scalable. Since 2018, CSG has combined the local farmers’ market with the convenience of subscription-based online ordering & home delivery. They haul, sort, curate, and deliver weekly bundles of local groceries with menus, recipes, producer info, & dietary restriction compliance.” They have a whole host of products including pastas, breads, coffee, and self-care products in addition to the usual veggies and stuff. And the beauty is you can get a variety of sizes for your weekly bundle and customize by adding on other goods.

· Gruber Farms: Offering 2 Seasons: Spring Season (April to July) & Fall Season (late August to late November) Each seasonal share consists of 10 consecutive weekly boxes of fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce with pickup at set drop locations. The boxes will be delivered to one of our drop locations that you select. And there are 3 share options to suit your family’s needs.

· Kindlewood Farms: Offers 2 share options for a veggie share. 12 Week Spring/Summer CSA Share 2024 $250.00 = 3-5 items weekly with pickup at farmers markets. April – June. $475.00 = 6-9 items weekly with pickup at farmers markets. April – June.

· Abundant Seafood CSF : Like a CSA but for fish. You get a credit of $150 or $300 to spend at Shem Creek or Park Circle for fresh from the day boat seafood at 20% off.

· The Twenty Bag : Seasonal and sustainably grown produce, but with added flexibility. You can order this week’s bag and pick it up a variety of pick-up locations but with no weekly commitment. Oh and every Monday the week’s bag items gets posted and did we mention its all just $25.
