Yain’t got none because there is no, none, zip, zero, zilch, nada inventory. Normally, we tell our peeps to wait until March 1st to list but this year we are singing the early bird catches the worm! Buyers are out there with nothing to buy. There’s a saying in the South – you haven’t seen mean until you’ve seen someone mean for Jesus – well this time around it’s safe to say you haven’t seen mean until you’ve seen someone mean for Real Estate. Don’t we all want to do our part to help make the world a little less mean?
Timing
A bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush. This is a Seller’s market – if you’re thinking about it, now’s the time to go for it. Growing up, my dad always told my brother to never fight an ugly guy because he’s got nothing to lose. Well Seller, right now YOU are that ugly guy. If you wait, hoping prices will just keep going up, you run the risk of trying to sell in a Buyer’s market and that will leave you thinking, “did I shave my legs fo dis??”
Affordability
Interest rates, interest rates, interest rates! Thinking what’s your man got to do wit me? A lot. On the sell side, low interest rates effect prices because Buyers can’t use low interest rates to leverage buying power as much.
Don’t Become Dated
Don’t catch flack when you was once on fleek! Updates you made, well now they need updating. We always say the best time to sell is when you get your house exactly the way you want it – in order to catch the mice you have to have the cheese!
