I first stepped foot in Charleston while visiting friends in the Spring of 2010. After just a few days touring the city (and falling head-over-heels for its charm, beaches, cobblestone streets, and restaurants), I boarded a plane back home to San Diego with a plan in place to relocate as soon as possible. In less than a year, I packed my car with all my belongings and hit the road back to Charleston without looking back. Currently,  I live on James Island with my 4-year-old son, Thomas. I am an active yogi and beach-goer and am constantly on the hunt for good old-fashioned Mexican food.

    • What I did before Real Estate:

Armed with a nursing degree from Kaplan College in Vista, CA, I was able to transfer my nursing license to South Carolina when I relocated in 2011. I worked at Roper St. Francis in Mount Pleasant before hanging up my scrubs to spend almost three years working in legal nurse consulting, helping to write life care plans for trial attorneys throughout the country. As they say in nursing, burnout is a real thing – and I made the decision to attend Real Estate school and start doing something that genuinely made me happy.

    • My Real Estate Specialty:

In my first year as an agent, I was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” award by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. I specialize in single-family residential sales, investment properties, waterfront lots and large acreage parcels of land.

    • What my clients say about me/why my clients choose to work with me:

I spent previous years as a nurse advocating for my patients and feel that I am able to carry that over into my relationships with my Real Estate clients. The decision to buy or sell (or both at the same time) can be scary and daunting. But it doesn’t have to be! We get to live in one of the most amazing cities in the world, and I have a special way of making the process fun, keeping my clients involved in every aspect of the process, and celebrating right alongside them at the end of a successful transaction. The relationships I have built with my clients have often turned into long-lasting friendships – and I feel you should expect nothing less when working with me as your agent.

    • What I love about Smith Spencer Real Estate:

Being on a team of such successful, smart, savvy and fun people! We are constantly learning from each other, supporting each other and having a lot of fun (and a lot of laughs) in the process.

    • What I love about Charleston:

This is a never-ending list! I love Shem Creek and Folly Beach in the summer, oysters in the fall and winter, and the smell of jasmine blooming downtown in the Spring. I love the culture, the weather – I even love the humidity! One of my favorite things to do is just walk around downtown, enjoying our incredible restaurant scene and shopping on King Street. There’s nothing better than sitting at the end of a dock watching the sun set on the river. I may be a California girl by blood, but Charleston will forever have my heart!
