Seller's Checklist

  • Make sure you have a good enough reason – job relocation or loss, major change in financial situation, change in family size/needs. Keeping up with the Joneses is not a reason!
  • Know where you are going. If you are buying make sure a mortgage professional has pre-approved you for the purchase amount. Renting? Make sure the rent amount fits in your budget and you have good options available. The last thing you want to do is write a check with your mouth that your ass can’t cash.
  • Know what your home is worth by having your agent provide you with an updated market analysis. Hint: it is worth less than you think.
